Everything in between

Everything in between life and death
Life is like a series of fleeting moments. Perhaps they are only hints of colors, sketches of lines, or fragments of a feeling. A flow that continues endlessly and is never still, yet in the midst of this stream of moments there is a core of eternity.I wanted to capture all these moments and the ongoing flow, moment after moment, layer upon layer. Like a painting that never ends, like time that continues despite everything. At the same time, I wanted to capture what lies deeper than the fleeting moments — what continues as an underlying ground color beneath life’s sketch lines and brushstrokes. Like an experience of wordless prayer or contemplation, a feeling of sacredness and a sense of eternity, where time disappears or stands still. In the paintings there are both the passing, fluttering moments and the quiet, ongoing eternity as two opposites — like life and death, like body and soul, like you and me. But the paintings do not contain only extremes; they also hold everything in between, what cannot be seen. What separates us or holds us together: the encounters, the spaces between, the pauses. The quiet, the inconspicuous, that which carries life forward without making claims.
